Field notes & credits
Each lossless retarder changes polarization by a different amount for red, green and blue. A final linear analyzer turns that change into brightness. Plate order matters; all three colors pass through every pane. The animated ribbons are decorative, not electric-field traces.
Original MIT game inspired by October 2026 liquid-crystal polarization research. Mathematical reference: Scott Prahl’s pypolar (MIT, 44 stars observed). No upstream code or assets are used. Fictional dispersions, ideal optics.
